Kilobyte. Despite the ``kilo'' prefix, a kilobyte is not one thousand bytes. One kilobyte is 1,024 (210) 8-bit bytes, or 8,192 bits.

Kilobits per second. A kilobit is 1,000 bits.

kHz

Kilohertz. 1,000 cycles per second.

Mb

Megabit. 1,000,000 bits.

MB

Megabyte. 1,048,576 (220) bytes, or 1,024 kilobytes. It is also 8,388,608 (1,048,576 * 8) bits, or 8,388.608 kilobits. Despite the ``mega'' prefix, a megabyte is not one million bytes.

Megabits per second.

MHz

Megahertz. 1,000,000 cycles per second.
